Interpreted Volcano Routes

Walk on lava in the Teide National Park. There, at 2,000 metres high, you will be able to familiarise yourself with volcanic activity and with the most significant geological formations. The Teide is the highest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano on the planet, so you can imagine the value that this island offers to appreciate together the volcanic processes that occur on Earth.

The routes that usually work, get a good balance between the scientific aspects and the experience of adventure tourism.

Star-Gazing

The best place to enjoy the cleanest skies in Europe is, of course, the Teide National Park. Take pleasure in looking at the Universe from very close, with the help of specialised guides and astronomical charts.

Birdwatching

If this is your world, you will know it well: The Canaries is a first-rate ornithological paradise and retains many endemic birds.

In addition, it is a place of passage for many different species, and the reason why hundreds of birds migrate every year from various points around the globe to Tenerife. The good climatic conditions that they find when they arrive, allow them to stay for a long season, enjoying the more than 50 ponds and pools that welcome them.

Don’t leave your binoculars behind, because you have 21 birding points. They are distributed in mountainous, central and coastal areas, and the conditions are ideal.

Within the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, you can do it in two places, preferably: one is the Playa del Castillo and the other is the world-famous Loro Parque.
